Dr Anne is on a pilgrimage in Europe. She is a nomad (Saracen) for the moment. I am Pilgrim is her first read of the trip, all 888 pages and one of Richard and Judy's summer reads.
As it says on the cover it is the only thriller one needs to read this summer. The book has shut Dr Anne up when Lois wants a bit of contemplation time. It has made air travel pass in a flash. It has been a page turner on the train.
She has been transported to America, Europe, the Middle East and Burma on a mission with Pilgrim. Who would survive? Who would be the victims? Who would be the pawns? A gripping story.
Dr Anne awards 8/10.
In the end if you want to be free all you have to do is let go.
