Sound Festival

Dr Anne went to the opening of the Sound Festival in Aberdeen.

It started in the Quad at Kings College, Aberdeen with a community choir performing By Reason of Darkness (Job, verse 37).

There followed an lecture on Astronomy in the chapel.

The concert was Southern Sky followed by the premiere of Northern Sky.

What happens when Australian Aboriginal mythology collides with an Estonian composer?  The concert marked the start of a new relationship between Australia an Aberdeen.  Urmas Sisask's Southern Sky was partnered with a new work by Norwegian based composer, James Clapperton,s Northern Sky.
