Dr Anne set off for Edinburgh on Monday with The Seven Sisters. She has rarely spoken since. The book was an amazing page turner.
There was a big build up to the sisters meeting up following the death of Pa Salt. It held one's interest totally. Who were these girls and where did they come from. Following the reading of the will Maia's story developed. She searched for her roots in Rio. The six friends - who, what, where, when, how and why. It built up, up, up. The ending was a bit of a damp squib. Is another book in preparation to tell the other girls' story?
Dr Anne awards 8/10 for the lead up but 5/10 for the ending.
Dr Anne has added Rio to her bucket list.
