Puff Scones (Mrs McArthur's Wartime Cookbook)

Ingredients:

3 breakfast cups flour
4 oz margarine
pinch salt
6 teaspoons sugar
1.5 teaspoons baking soda
3 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg

Method:

Mix dry ingredients, rub into margarine, break in egg and stir in milk until a medium dough.
