Saturday

OC from church asked Dr Anne for a coffee at Beggar's Belief.  She said she would meet her at the back gate on Chapel Street.  Dr Anne walked up to the gate. OC was there with her daughter.  They kept walking up Chapel Street as Kelsey was going to see Abbie.  When they got to the bottom of Seafield Place OC said she had to speak to Amy who lives at Loch Soy.  They said goodbye to Kelsey and set off round the skip.  Dr Anne noticed a lot of children at the adventure playground.  Was it a brownie sleepover? She asked OC but she didn't seem to know.  OC walked the top road to Amy.  It seemed odd but Dr Anne just walked on.  The kids came running over from the adventure playground. Dr Anne knew the kids and started speaking to them.  They walked with her and ended up at the Scout Hut...

A boozy tea party awaited Dr Anne.  She was utterly gob smacked.  50 - 60 people were there waiting to celebrate Dr Anne's 40 years as a teacher of dancing in Portsoy.  There were country dancers, fling fit dancers, highland dancers, mums, kids.  It was a truly amazing surprise, probably a first.  The party continued at Shona's afterwards and Dr Anne got home at nine pm.
