Late Roses

The Fairy Rose
The bed of Fairy Roses has at last come into bloom. They should be in bloom until October.
Maigold
Maigold is the last rose to come into bloom this summer. It is worth the waiting.

Bridal Blossom

A variety of views of the Bridal Blossom. This year the petals fell quickly because of the wind and rain. However, their beauty is a wonderful memory.

Shrubbery and Ivy

The Shrubbery
The Ivy
There is a greeness in the shrubbery since Steven cut back some of the shrubs and the undergrowth last week.

Fruit Cage and Tree Protector

Fruit Cage
Tree Protector
The fruit cage and the tree protector have now been erected. The fruit cage is 4m x 2m and covers the black currants, the gooseberries and the red currants. It is pretty substantial and has a door. The tree protector is for the cherries. Today the blackbird has been sitting on the net. Tonight the crow was surveying the scene from the dyke.
I do hope this will prove to be a successful project.

Roses

The roses on the dyke are now in full flower. They were found to be in need of a good drink today so Dr Anne brought up the hose and gave them a good soaking. The number of blooms are extraordinary.
