This was a compulsive read.  Dr Anne started the first and second books on journeys to Edinburgh.  She does not remember the journeys.  The third book was reserved for the plane journey to Zurich.  The journey was past in a flash.  It is definitely a 9/10

One has to read all three books to get the full story of Fin Macleod, his childhood sweetheart, Marsaili, Artaire his best friend, Donald from the church, Angel MacRitchie, the bully, Whistler, the band, Big Ken.  Then there was the story of Marsaili's dad, an orphan from Edinburgh.  He had a history before he arrived on the islands.
