The Last act of Love

Rentzenbrink, C. (2015). The Last Act of Love. London: Picador.

Dr Anne picked up this read at the airport, one of Richard and Judy's summer club.  It lasted the 8 hours of the flight.  How does one deal with life when someone is cut down because of an accident or an illness?   We all do it in different ways. Some withdraw, some cry, some talk endlessly some are angry, some are accepting.  How long does it take? When does one reach the point that they accept that life is just different? Sometime? Never?

This Cathy's story about life after her dearly beloved brother is involved in a car accident and how she and her family deal with it.

This is a true story.  Dr Anne recalls another read Elizabeth is missing as she arrives in Toronto to meet her bestie Susan and her husband Bill.

Dr Anne Awards 7/10.

Those We Left Behind

Neville, S. (2016). Those we left behind. London: Vintage.

Dr Anne picked up this book as she headed for Edinburgh on Friday.  It was a new author for her, part of the Richard and Judy 2016 season.  The book kept her going until Sunday night.  Does the police service need to be intuitive or sensing on the Myers Briggs scale? Would it have made a difference for Ciaran and Thomas, Flanagan, the police woman and Cunningham the probation officer?

Dr Anne is currently in a dilemma re the E.U. Vote.  Should she use inituition or analysis.

Dr Anne awards this book 6.5 out of 10.
