The Speyside Way

Dr Anne returned from Chelsea in time to walk a section of the Speyside Way with a former colleague. Dr Anne drove to Boat of Garten.  She met up with her colleague and they drove to Grantown on Spey.  They set off at 1000 on the first leg of the walk to Nethybridge.  The drizzle stopped, the clouds broke and the sun came out.  At Nethybridge there was a toilet and snack stop.

After a short break the two set off on the next leg to Boat of Garten.
It was through beautiful countryside.
17.5k after their start they crossed the Spey and went into Boat of Garten for a picnic lunch in the community garden.

Chelsea Flower Show

Greygranite and Dr Anne went on their annual pilgrimage to the Chelsea Flower Show.  They no longer do the journey as a day trip following their cancellation due to the ash in 2010.  They now go to the luxury of the Pestana Chelsea Bridge.  Over dinner they met Ryan who invited the intrepid two for pink champagne at their stand.  Below are Dr Anne's favourites for 2013.

This is the sculpture created for the 100th anniversary celebrations.
