Dad's Rose
This is amazing. This rose dates back to the 1960s. It was planted and trained on an arch at the back door. When the extension was built it was replanted at the top of the garden. Known as Dad's rose by Dr Anne it was suffering a couple of years ago. Mrs McArthur and Dr Anne took the pruning saw and then the big saw to cut it down. They decided to leave the root and ask Steven to remove it when he came to do the shrubs. This didn't happen and to Dr Anne's amazement new shoots came last year. There were no flowers but lots of growth. Above is the first rose which has bloomed and there are many in bloom.
